The data of his first seven male offspring were used for the
observation and peformance check. The scope of the measured hip heights
ranged from 121 cm to 125 cm (measured within a year).
The observation data arising from these seven animals are so
repesentative of the bredd performance of Platanus because the offspring
of less refined stock (three standard cows) were evaluated with the others.
The average frame score value of his offspring (at twelve months) is
4,8 , that is to say, at the age of one year they had an averange hip
height of 123,16 cm. From the total frame score table on this website it
can be inferred that the mature offspring will have an average hip height
of 139 cm (varying from 137 cm 142 cm).
Mating with highly appraised "bull mothers", as they are in my herd,
will reach a frame score of over 5. It is to be hoped that these animals,
when mature, should reach about the size of Platanus .
